Some people ask me why I would take on the challenge of a little country Church and every time I tell them about a small Church I had seen in Fayetteville Arkansas.
Below are the actual pictures of that Church.
It breaks my heart to see a Church fall to such disrepair, all I can think about is the fact that some young preacher out there may have been looking for a place to start a Church at some time and that could have been the beginning of a great work for God. The first time I preached was back in 1982 in a small church in East Texas and I can remember when I wished I could have found such a cute little Church to grow a new congregation…
After losing my sisterĀ I stepped away from the pulpit for awhile, during this time I had an opportunity to reflect on all of the great things God had done for our ministry and the many blessings He had sent our way and when I did I said,”God if you will just give me a little Church like that I will try again.” Well he did and I’ll share that story at a later time.
Anyway, I found this picture of what our Church looked like when we first saw it.
